Aim:- To access websites/forums with out registration :)

Apparatus Required:-

1)Firefox browser

2)User Agent Switcher(Add-ons from Firefox)

Description:-

Most websites & User forums blocks the unregistered users from accessing their private information but don’t block the Google crawler. The method described below involves switching the User Agent to Google bot so that user can freely crawl the websites or forums without the need of registering to the website.

Procedure:-

1)Open the Firefox browser. If you have not installed one yet get it from the link provided above.

2)Before you proceed please make sure that you have installed the User Agent Switcher Add-on. If not you can get it from the link provided here :-

3)Now proceed to Tools > User Agent Switcher > Options > Options as shown in the figure provided below :-

4)Select User Agent from the left sidebar and click Add.

In the description field type:

crawl-66-249-66-1.googlebot.com

In the user agent field type:

Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)



Once you are done press "ok" and proceed :)

5)Now switch the user agent to Google crawler by going to Tools > User Agent Switcher as described in the figure below :-




6)Now you can browse any website or forum without registering to the site. Alternatively you can also check out the BugMeNot site which is a free online service where people share login information of thousands of websites and forums. Enjoy!!!

P.S:- The method described above only works on websites which allow themselves to be indexed by Google, but require registration for a user to see - don't try it on private torrent tracking sites its useless :)
